Colorful Marble Nail Art: Your Spring Mix Guide

New spring nail inspo just arrived! Or like summer inspo for us in Australia 🙂 Watch how to create beautiful & colourful spring nails using Marble art alternative technique with gel polish at home.

I first applied a layer of Milk gel polish to cover the nail and for the marble colours to pop!

I used a mix of 5 gel colours to create this nail art. First I used Sand Nude Gel Polish for the nude colour and the Mango yellow Gel Polish for the yellow colour, then the Island blue Gel Polish for the turquoise blue colour, the Pretty In Pink Gel Polish for the dusty pink colour and the Bright orange Gel Polish for the orange colour.

Tip: I suggest to start applying the lighter colours first, and finish by adding dots of the brightest colours. Apply a small quantity of gel polish over your nail plate to not go over the edges. You can still add more gel colour later on if you need to 🙂

I used the Liner brush to create the Marble nail art, as it has a thicker head than the 11mm Nail Art brush and cover the gel colour nicely without digging the texture of the gel.

I used my alternative marble art technique that I personally find much easier than the classic method, where you usually scoop the whole mix of colours together and apply it all over the nail. Too much gel texture to handle, I am more handy with a smaller quantity of gel polish. The other thing is that I can apply exactly the colours I want where I want to obtain a specific marble result.

The trick to achieve this marble effect is to delicately brush each colour into the next without “mixing” them. And if you don’t like the result, you can still wipe it out and try another mix. Easy peasy 😉

A very nice nail idea if you cannot choose which colours to apply on your nails (Yes it happens to me – like a LOT!) Give it a try and let me know what you think!

To create this look, you’ll need:

  • Bright orange Gel Polish
  • Island blue Gel Polish
  • Mango yellow Gel Polish
  • Pretty In Pink Gel Polish
  • Sand Nude Gel Polish
  • Liner Brush
  • LED or UV nail lamp
  • Basic kit (alcohol or cleaner to remove any trace of oil from your nails and clean your brush, paper towel or pad and a wooden cuticle stick to scrape off the gel in case you get over the edges)

Level of difficulty: easy
